Elephant
is a proprietary web publishing system created by ModernMethod.
Investing in the development of this software has allowed our
company to build and manage large-scale interactive web sites
that require a real-time publishing system. The system is extensible,
SEO friendly, and also features turnkey community and social
networking functionality and OpenID support.
Unlike
most blogging platforms, Elephant is optimized for high-volume
traffic with support for hundreds of thousands simultaneous
concurrent authors and users. Its robust architecture (cloud-hosted)
alleviates the need of a large support team or expensive infrastructure.
Our web sites run
on Elephant.
Where
software packages like Google Analytics focus on web site activity,
oDash goes further and focuses on user-level activity.
It also gave us an excuse to play with Erlang.
Our
toolkit helps us quickly optimize our applications and improve
usability in and outside of our CMS, easily accessible via a
customizable interface and event-level reporting.
Lnkxchng
(as in "Link Exchange" without the vowels) allows
a web site publisher to return traffic effortlessly to web sites
that refer the most traffic to it. Site owners can see how much
traffic they drive and how much is returned in exchange through
an online dashboard. Simply put, it is a better way to reciprocate
links. Why yes, there are many cheesy products that already
do this ... poorly. Our motivation to build our own was the
removal of said cheese, adding in an intelligent dashboard.
Sajax
(Simple Ajax) is an open source tool to make programming
websites using the Ajax framework — also known as XMLHTTPRequest
or remote scripting — as easy as possible. Sajax makes it
easy to call PHP, Perl or Python functions from your webpages
via JavaScript without performing a browser refresh. The toolkit
does 99% of the work for you and is a quick download, so you
have no excuse to not use it. learn
